Feral Club is a referral and affiliate marketing platform for Shopify brands. This policy explains how we handle your data.

What we collect

  • - Account details like your name, email address, authentication provider, and company information.
  • - Shopify store data you authorize us to access, including customers, orders, products, discount codes, price rules, gift cards, and referral and affiliate-related activity.
  • - Intelligence data we create from your store data, including revenue share, advocate and affiliate performance, referred customer lifetime value, gateway products, fraud signals, and multi-touch attribution sequences.
  • - Waitlist and marketing data, including email addresses and UTM parameters when you submit them.
  • - Visitor attribution data collected on connected Shopify stores, including anonymous visitor identifiers, UTM parameters, click IDs, and page-level touch events. This data is used to connect referral and affiliate activity to revenue outcomes. It is stored against an anonymous visitor ID and linked to a customer email only when a purchase is completed.
  • - Basic technical data, including logs, device information, and usage events that help us keep Feral Club working.
  • - Affiliate program data, including tier status, invitation records, agreement acceptance timestamps and versions, and custom link identifiers. In a future release, when cash payouts are enabled, we will collect legal name, address, and tax identification information required for payment processing and regulatory compliance.

How we use it

  • - To provide Feral Club and connect referral activity to real revenue outcomes.
  • - To sync Shopify data, process referral and affiliate programs, create migration workflows, show dashboard insights, and facilitate affiliate agreement acceptance.
  • - To protect the product, detect abuse, debug issues, and improve reliability.
  • - To send product, onboarding, account, and support messages.
  • - To measure which marketing channels bring the right brands to Feral Club.

Who we share it with

  • - Service providers that help us run the product, including hosting, database, authentication, analytics, email, and infrastructure providers.
  • - Shopify, when needed to connect your store, sync data, or create referral-related objects you ask us to create.
  • - Authorities or third parties if required by law, to protect rights, or to investigate security or fraud issues.
  • - We do not sell your customer data. That would be weird. And bad.

Data retention

  • - We keep data for as long as needed to provide the product, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
  • - If you disconnect a Shopify store, we may delete or de-identify synced store data unless we need to keep limited records for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Your choices

  • - You can disconnect your Shopify store from settings.
  • - You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal data where required by law.
  • - You can unsubscribe from non-essential marketing messages. Product and security messages may still be sent.

Security

  • - We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
  • - No system is perfect. If we learn about a security issue that affects you, we will take it seriously and act quickly.
